Cynthia McFadden is the artisan who creates this innovative "upcycled" jewelry by "rescuing" old watches meant for the junk pile. she began drawing at a very early age. In school, art
was always her favorite subject and she went above and beyond what her assignments required. In college, she majored in art education and became an art teacher for many years. She
has always applied her creativity and integrity to every challenge that came her way. At this point in her life, she is dedicated to pursuing her dream of making a living by doing what
she loves. In making these pendants, she hopes the new owners get as much pleasure from them as she does while creating them. She resides in Charleston, South Carolina, with her faithful Lab,
Bella. The Charleston environment gives her an abundance of ideas to use in her work.
About her work
Making this jewelry is both a passion and an intricate craft. Each piece is carefully designed and executed with the utmost of creativity and integrity, that will satisfy even
the most discerning jewelry shopper. There may be several pieces with the same subject and name, but no two pieces are identical. Most of the pieces are created in the actual back (case) of a
watch, and then the case is wrapped in sterling silver. Some pendants are done in vintage ladies' watch pendant cases. If you don't see a subject here that you want, please feel free to contact
her to discuss a custom piece! SHE loves new challenges!
